A common issue in older KOBELCO SK200-6 HD820 Excavators equipped with the 6D34 engine is persistent overheating, often linked to a faulty Water Pump. If the pump's impeller corrodes or the bearing fails, coolant circulation is compromised. The solution involves replacing the Water Pump assembly immediately. For prevention, consistently use the correct concentration of engine coolant and perform a system flush every 2000 hours. A clean Radiator core is also vital; regularly inspect and clean the fins to ensure optimal heat dissipation.
For all construction machinery, especially the CATERPILLAR C7 engine, regularly check the Oil Pump pressure. Low oil pressure can lead to catastrophic failure of the Engine Bearing and Crankshaft. Adhere strictly to the manufacturer's oil and filter change schedule.
Piston Ring: Installed in the CUMMINS QSB6.7 engine's cylinder. Seals combustion gases and controls oil consumption.
Flameout Solenoid: Located on the fuel pump of the KOMATSU 4D95 engine. Controls fuel flow to shut down the engine.
