⚠️ Troubleshooting: Excavator Traveling Deviation (Drifting)

Equipment/Fault: A Hitachi EX230 Excavator drifts significantly to one side when attempting to travel straight, even on level ground.

Probable Cause: This common issue is usually caused by unequal pressure/flow to the two Travel Motors. The likely culprit is a faulty Travel Spool or a damaged Relief Valve within the Main Control Valve block dedicated to the weak side's travel circuit. If the excavator is older, a failed Travel Motor Brake is also possible.

Solution: Check the travel motor relief valve pressures on both sides. If the pressure is low on the drifting side, replace or repair the corresponding Relief Valve. If pressures are normal, inspect the Travel Motor (Final Drive) on the weak side for internal leakage or brake drag. Ensure the primary flow from the HPV118 Pump is reaching the control valve correctly.
